Recap of KISTERS’ Partner Week 2012
February 1, 2012
Annual gathering of consultants, product specialists, integration partners, and subsidiaries celebrates 25th anniversary of the WISKI product.
Another successful Partner Week has ended in Aachen, Germany. KISTERS’ consultants, product specialists, integration partners, and subsidiaries gathered over the past two weeks of intensive meetings that covered everything from strategic planning of the company to product workshops for engineers and consultants.
This year is especially important as KISTERS marks the 25th anniversary of the Water Information System KISTERS (WISKI) product line.
The data system has evolved to become the market leader for time series data management solutions in the water and environmental management industry.
Klaus Kisters, CEO of KISTERS AG notes,
“Partner Week is an important date in our planning calendar. It signifies a time when KISTERS subsidiaries from around the world share experiences, challenges, and successes with their peers. As a result of these meetings, we continue to meet challenges in the global marketplace head on with high success rates.”
“2012 marks a major milestone in the evolution of WISKI. Our latest release, WISKI 7, is full of many new features and benefits that continue to meet and exceed the needs of our clients,” says Michael Natschke, Product Manager for WISKI.
“The recent release of KISTERS’ web interoperability service now offers clients the widest array of hydrologic data sharing opportunities on the market. It utilizes new standards like WaterML 2.0 and SOS, set by the OGC, as well as Esri GIS layers to enable the integration of spatial and temporal hydrologic data sets for researchers and public organizations alike. With new improvements planned for the Desktop GUI, as well as our core series management application layer KiTSM, 2012 is going to be a great year.”
The German Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG), one of the leading hydrological organizations worldwide and the inaugural WISKI client, has invited KISTERS and the Global Runoff Data Center (GRDC) to host this year’s International WISKI Users Group meeting on 13-14 June 2012 at BfG Headquarters in Koblenz, Germany. We invite everyone to come and celebrate “25 years of WISKI.”
